time capsules to Rorschach

In the eighties when I was in elementary school we made a time capsule. Our teacher, Miss Richcreek helped us write a testament of the times on the largest piece of news print paper the Second grade had ever seen. We then had a raffle to see who got to take home the rough draft, I WON!! I had been saving it my whole life like the hoarder, I apparently have been since youthwaiting to read all it's glory when I "grew up". Well my parents basement flooded a few years ago now and I will never know what it said, except that Ronald Regan was president. This post is dedicated to all of the weird things I was saving that drown...

during the rehab of our house we have found a few pieces from owners past, put a few back and kept a few and added this. Blue Palatine is the name of our house

this nearly sums up our weekend. I spotted that gas station lamp on the side of the road saturday, it just happens to match the light we just put up on the front of our house! It's like someone put it there just for me!! It certainly made my day

Dear Uncle Tom, little did you know that your "hilly billy stem wear" gift would not only be funny but also practical while allowing you to enjoy drywall free red!! AMAZING and a must have on the list of  dry walling tools because man is that the lamest  of lamety lame lame lame jobs.

this is our new coat closet for the entry, courtesy of Mr Buckles. We are going to build it in, it's likely from the late eighteen hundreds!

progress report says that the Larkin's are very busy working and they are hoping to see a kitchen and living room in the very near future. The view is from the living room looking into dining and kitchen.
